The Bai Nationality
In 2009, I embarked on a nearly year-long journey, traveling over 100,000 kilometers across seven Chinese provinces. I visited more than 120 remote natural villages and photographed tens of thousands of people using a 4×5 large-format film camera. Through anthropological portraiture, I documented the daily living environments and lives of the Bai ethnic group.
